Gas Smart Heating was established in 2015 by Steven Cahalane after 15 years of British Gas experience. All our team have extensive gas knowledge and experience.

Our mission is to provide first class service at reasonable prices. Where we differ from our competitors is in that we genuinely believe we will go much further in saving you money by carefully diagnosing and maintaining your gas appliance or heating system. Other companies often simply replace equipment that is perfectly serviceable and efficient at great cost.

At Gas Smart Heating Ltd. we invest heavily in staff as they are the most important part of our business. We take recruitment very seriously and our team is carefully vetted before a long induction process. We employ multi-skilled staff and train them to make them some of the best in the country.

Our technology
As you would expect we use the latest technology. All our vans are
connected and tracked enabling us to be as efficient as possible with our staff and very responsive. All our diagnostic equipment is the very latest and we will always install energy efficient systems. We are keen on remote systems are have a lot of experience with Hive and similar systems.

Lloyd Butler
Lloyd joined Gas Smart Heating in 2018. He completed his apprenticeship and qualifications in 2009. He is a team player and enjoys sport and has a great eye for details and enjoys the installation work.
Tim Cockcroft
Tim joined the army in 2010 as a Royal Engineer and served for 6 years and was deployed on 2 operational tours of Afghanistan and did a construction tour in Kenya.
After leaving the Army he embarked on a Gas Course at College and on completion was proud to join the team at Gas Smart Heating Ltd.
An avid Crystal Palace fan enjoying taking part in sports and has completed many charity running events including the Brighton Marathon
Steven Cahalane
Steven Cahalane formed the company after 15 years with British Gas and has 25 years experience in the plumbing and heating industry. He set up the company to provide a more personal service and wanted to do the right thing in every situation. In a big company he felt the personal touch was not always possible and preferred to deal with clients who he could build up long term relations with.
